Hand bag and matching draw-string pouch!

I just love this little draw-string pouch! I'm making my sister a hand bag and whipped up this little cutie to match. I'm thinking...makeup bag or something like that. It can be used for anything I guess. Just a really fun little project to mess with. Since then I've made three more in various colors and patterns too. They're just so fun!

Here is a picture of the bag, it's not finished yet though. I'm going to sew on the buttons that are really cute and then line it with a black and white damask/floral fabric that I just adore! I know she's going to love it!

Hoot Hoot!

These sweet little hoots were so fun to make! I used this pattern at Love the Blue Bird and had so much fun with it!! Go check it out! I think I need to work on my pointed ears though, no matter what I tried mine didn't turn out pointed. Next time I'm going to add a picot.

Fun Crochet Hat!

Hello! I just love love love this hat pattern by Crochat Rochelle, you can find it here. I made several this winter for my beautiful customers and they loved them too! This is my lovely little sister modeling a brown and pink version, stunning wouldn't you agree?

And here she is in the white and blue I made for her, looks so pretty with the snow in the background!

(By the way, when I named my blog "Rock the Hook" I didn't know other people used that phrase, lol. I say "rock" all the time when exclaiming how awesome something is, so it was natural for me to use it in regard to crochet. I didn't steal the idea from anyone.)

So thanks again for looking :) Have a blessed day!!

First Post at Rock the Hook!

Hello! I'm not sure how to do this blog thing, but I'm willing to try to figure it out. I love my hobby of crochet, and just want to post my projects to share with friends and family. So first I'll share the lovely African Flower bag I made for my sister, who is as fun and colorful as this bag is :)

The pattern I used is by Mia Dehmer Designs located at Ravelry.com..

I modified the pattern by making less African Flower hexagons, but followed everything else to a tee. It is really fabulous!! A fun project! Thanks for stopping by!
